Our story begins with the passion and creativity of founder Michael Zhu in his childhood. He has been a hands-on and thoughtful child since he was young. When he was in college, a science and technology exhibition completely changed his destiny. At the booth, he saw a 3D printer for the first time, which slowly “changed” a simple digital design into an exquisite physical model. After graduation, Michael Zhu did not choose a stable life, but founded “cretbee” with passion. His concept is simple but powerful – “turn your ideas into reality”. He hopes to use 3D printing technology to make everyone a creator. However, although the dream is beautiful, the reality is cruel. In the early days of entrepreneurship, lack of funds, immature technology, and low market recognition were like mountains weighing on the team’s shoulders. Michael Zhu and his small team often worked all night to debug machines and optimize designs, and even faced the crisis of disbanding. But he always believed that as long as he persisted, technology could change life and creativity could light up the future.
A touching turning point
An accidental order became a turning point for crtebee. An animal rescue volunteer foundMichael Zhuand hoped that he could customize a pair of prostheses for a puppy named Doudou who was born with a missing front leg. Pet prostheses on the market are rare and expensive. Doudou can only drag his small body to move with difficulty, watching those healthy dogs playing happily with envy and desire.Michael Zhuwas deeply moved by Doudou’s story. He led the team to devote their efforts to repeatedly design, print and adjust, and finally used 3D printing technology to create a pair of light and flexible prostheses that fit Doudou’s body perfectly. When Doudou put on the prosthesis for the first time and ran around everyone happily with his tail wagging, the volunteers shed tears excitedly, andMichael Zhucouldn’t help but wet his eyes.
